Jamestown Fort Model

Thanks to Katie Page for suggesting this project and bringing in all of the supplies. The students used pretzels of various sizes to create a Jamestown village. Mrs. Page also provided us with a set of Jamestown figurines to complete the scene, and she helped with all of the hot gluing. The students were very creative in making the village and the accompanying accessories. In addition to the fort and the buildings, students also created a boat, water well, beds, tables and chairs, a cannon, a fish trap, and farmyard.

This project required resourcefulness, problem solving, and creativity, in addition to knowledge of colonial times.
